How to Use the Click Counter
Use the large green Click button to increase the counter by one each time you click it. The total number of clicks appears above the button.
By default, No Time is selected, so you can keep counting for as long as you want. If you want to measure your clicking speed, select a timed mode such as 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds.
When you select a timed mode, the Click Rate and Time metrics appear. The timer begins with your first click. When time runs out, the counter shows your total clicks and average click rate.
Use Decrement to subtract one from your count, or use Reset to clear the counter and start again.
What Is a Click Counter?
A click counter is a simple online tool that keeps track of how many times you click a button. Instead of trying to remember a running total in your head, each click automatically increases the displayed count by one.
You can use this Click Counter for unlimited counting or choose a timed mode when you want to measure how quickly you can click.
Click Counter vs. Click Speed Test
A click counter and a click speed test are similar, but they serve slightly different purposes.
A click counter is mainly used to keep a running total. There does not need to be a time limit.
A click speed test measures how many clicks you can make during a set period of time and usually reports the result as clicks per second.
This tool supports both. Leave No Time selected for unlimited counting, or choose one of the timed modes to measure your clicking speed.
How Is Click Rate Calculated?
Click rate measures the average number of clicks you make per second during a timed session.
It is calculated by dividing your total number of clicks by the amount of elapsed time in seconds.
For example, if you make 70 clicks in 10 seconds, your average click rate is 7 clicks per second.
Left, Right, Middle, and Double-Click Counter
In addition to the total count, this tool keeps a separate breakdown of the different mouse buttons you use on the main Click button.
- Left Clicks: Counts clicks made with the primary mouse button.
- Right Clicks: Counts right mouse button clicks.
- Middle Clicks: Counts clicks made with the mouse wheel or middle mouse button.
- Double-Clicks: Counts double-click events separately.
A double-click consists of two individual clicks, so those two clicks are already included in the total and left-click count. The Double-Clicks metric simply tells you how many double-click events occurred.
